As the world evolves through technology, environmental challenges arise, and fast fashion’s growth continues to reshape the industry. bbase is anchored by its 4 C’s framework – Circularity, Commercial, Collaboration, and Carbon Neutrality.  Since 2020, we have launched a series of initiatives to pave our path towards circularity in eyewear.

Our efforts encompass the bow Index, the first comparative materials tool of the eyewear industry, addressing the global plastic crisis and the complexities around recycled and biodegradable raw materials for eyewear. incubbase, an educational program committed to cultivating the next generation of eyewear design talent; Meanwhile, the bb_verse virtual platform supports creativity and resource efficiency through 3D, AR, VTO and AI technologies.

Through collaborations across borders, partnering with institutions like Hong Kong Poly University, La Salle College of Arts Singapore and Nanyang Technology University Singapore, working with NGOs like Xoloplastics, Redress to promote a circular fashion industry, and supporting organisations like oxOfHope to provide eyewear to youth in need, bbase’s goal is to create a future where fashion eyewear meets its deeper purpose.

As we reflect on the positive impacts of these measures on the environment, society, and the fashion industry, we emphasize clients’ partnerships, responsible sourcing, and ethical practices,” said Jo-Black, CEO & Co-Founder of bbase Design Group.
